Holladay Construction Group has completed construction of La Porte Hospital's new urgent care and primary care office at NewPorte Landing in La Porte, IN. The hospital, in conjunction with the La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership (LEAP) and the property developer, Holladay Properties, hosted a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting on July 14, 2021.
“We are so excited to open our new clinic and urgent care at NewPorte Landing,” said Ashley Dickinson, CEO of La Porte and Starke hospitals. “Guidance from the City, LEAP, and Holladay...has led us to this new area, and we’re excited to see how things come along in the near future. We have to extend a big thank you to Holladay...and their partnership in this development for making this possible.”
Holladay Construction Group broke ground on the 11,700 square foot building in September 2019. The medical office facility is the first development by Holladay Properties within NewPorte Landing, although they have been working with the City of La Porte for several years.
“I started working with the City of La Porte about five years ago on the whole development of NewPorte Landing,” Micka said. “As the developer of this project we got to know the folks from the hospital a little bit more and help them bring this building to fruition. They liked the location, and when we showed them the concept plans of what the development could look like they were intrigued by the growth opportunities in this area.”
Holladay Construction Group worked closely with the design and development professionals of Holladay Properties to bring this project to fruition in just eight months. The medical office building features two interior build outs for the urgent care and primary care services. Each separate space is home to waiting rooms, business offices, nurse's stations, exam rooms, and physician's offices. The urgent care center is also home to an x-ray room as well as procedure space.
